The White Elephant Shop is operated by volunteers, and profits are distributed to Sitka non-profit organizations. The shop has a rapidly changing and eclectic mix of items. There is an Alaska section with books and items that appeal to locals and tourists alike. On the left side of building and through a separate entrance is the kids side which carries children's clothing, books and a small range of toys.

A cute little thrift store with the sweetest staff! I definitely enjoyed going when I was visiting. The prices are unbeatable and always a great selection goods! One of my go-to spots!

The White Elephant Shop is a wonderful little thrift store which is primarily staffed by volunteers. The store was remodeled, and still has a wide variety of items at reasonable prices. Loyal customers line up at the door before openings to have a chance at the front window items which often feature boutique brands and new merchandise. They also have an Alaska themed clothing section and feature Alaska books and other goods.

Sitka has 4 consignment options that I am aware of: Salvation Army, Sweet Pea’s, Tongass Threads, and White E. White E is the best one IMHO.
